Apparently, after we’ve installed the Azure tools August update (and some long overdue other updates as well), our continuous integration tool, Cruise Control reported our deployment as not working. We started getting the
MSB3147: Could not find required file 'setup.bin' in 'ProjectFolder\Engine'.
At Studio Pešec, we use the Axure prototyping tool. It helps us prepare mockups for our team, and get the requirements looking better than ever. It gives customers (or the development team) an ability to test out the prototype you’re writing. You can therefore design interactions, instead of static pictures like you can with Balsamiq, for example (also something we use).

Quick #protip. When dealing with several Azure subscriptions, including demos, you may find it useful to rename some of them to keep yourself organized.
If you follow our twitter stream (if you’re not, you’re more than welcome to start @studiopesec) you may have noticed that I gave a presentation at Ljubljana’s Barcamp event. The talk was about using an agile mindset when dealing with enterprise (and demanding) customers. So far there has been a lot of positive feedback, and it’s something that we are all really excited about. There were also some questions and I wanted to clarify a few things in this post.

The AppFabric team has released a new CTP build – the Windows Azure AppFabric June CTP. It brings with it a lot of new features that should prove themselves very valuable with our development and we plan to explore them as soon as possible.

We here at Studio Pešec have built several applications that not only have great SEO requirements, but also localization requirements. For our work with Canada Post (CentrSource) the requirement of having all of our content available in both their official languages, English and French. There are two ways of approaching this problem and in this blog post, we’ll tackle the one we think is the better of the two.
After we have established the theoretical basis and requirements for our real-world FoodApp, we can finally focus our attention to actually coding and architecting something. In this part we will create the solution, all relevant projects and explore the configuration options available for cloud deployment. We will also take a look at some options available for inter-role communications and establishing a WCF service connection between two different roles.

As any responsible company, we never rest on our laurels. Although it’s already a bit late in the game, we’ve decided to take a peek at how to develop a real-world Azure application. We really don’t like the fact that most online tutorials start and finish with a Hello World or a really complex, enterprise, AppFabric + Service Bus + a myriad of buzzword technologies based example.
